I'm looking for a GMC decal to help make painting the GMC logo and "race track" I call it.

55 to 66 Wideside tailgate "racetrack" GMC logo

The process is white paint goes on first, then the decal, then the body color and then the decal is peeled and discarded revealing the white only where it should be. Then comes the clear coat.

For the life of me I can't find a GMC Wideside decal even though these tailgates were produced for over 10 years.

Any leads on a source will be greatly appreciated.

Or you could use plain old tape on something as simple as that.
The level of difficulty applying a decal would be higher than just taping it off if you ask me.
You could also just buy masking film and trim it to suit your eye.

i suggest getting some Sticky Mickeys 18" Tape, or take the tailgate to the local sign shop and have them apply a coat of transfer tape over the tailgate. Cut out the areas that need to stay covered with exact o knife. paint the body color, Peel masking and clear.

Second option would be to get me at tattooyourtoys.com after the whole thing is body color, & I'll do the white for $50 bucks.
