I went out looking for a step van or flatbed work truck when a 1947 2 or 3 ton Loadmaster found me. It has a running 235, it seems to shift and want to move but it has no brakes and I don't have room to test it were it is now. It looks like it might have the two speed read because of the vacuum lines but I'd have to get numbers off it to find all the info.

I just bought it and I'm waiting to bring it home but to be honest I'm I little lost with something of this age and have a few questions. Any help would be appreciated. Also I'm trying to keep it mostly original but as a functional work truck.

Are they 6v and what would a 12v coversion require if so?
Where would be recommended on the east coast to get vacuum and hydrolic parts remanded?
What should I look for as far as known wear and tear specifically for these trucks?

Thanks.
