Jim Carter no longer has the "correct" beige he was selling as P/N PT106. His supplier went out of business. The color he now sells is a darker "brownish" color.
I have posted a photo of the difference in the 2 colors.

Has anybody come up with a supplier for the original color?

Do you have the original paint code? I'm not familiar with the early years but if you do have it, just go to your local body shop supply store and see if they can mix it up for you.

Paint colors can be mixed by just about anyone "IF" you have the paint code and "IF" they have a formula.

Hi Harold; If you talk to the paint experts you learn they don't use the same pigments today as in the past. I don't think you can ever be certain of what the correct color is. Also the technology to match paint colors was not like todays. How consistent between factories is also in question. Take your best guess and go with it.

The problem is the original (40-46) was a Beige hammered texture. The only hammered I can find is Hammerite and Rust-Oleum. I can not find anyone willing to even try to match the Beige color in a hammered texture.
Too bad J.C. did not get the formula from his supplier before the paint co. shut its doors.
I guess I will have to go with the darker color he now sells.

They do have browns in hammertone in powder coating I am going to do my whole interior in a grey hammertone.

Another alternative could be to paint with body color or something that compliments exterior color. You could still add in heater/options with Rustoleum color. Rustoleum does a nice color in hammered gray. My 02 cents
