Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 10 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 10 | I was able to buy a new old stock 3 speed heater switch for my truck but I can't find any information about a nut or threaded polished stainless beauty ring to mount the switch to the factory dash location. Anybody have any information on this topic? Any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Can you post a picture of what you have... Mike B | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 Sir Searchalot | | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 | 3 speed or three position, 1 being OFF? Don't know of a three speed switch on 57. Must NOT be deluxe because mounting of that needs no nut. Is it like this? http://www.classicparts.com/1955-59-Heater-Switch-Original-Standard/productinfo/68-321/#.Vl1O0-mFM5sThe GMC 2 speed switch is very similar. The standard fan switch was mounted on a heater delete plate. I think GMC had stenciling on the plate and on Chevy the knob was marked? BTW: welcome back after 4 years?

The retainer is circular, measuring 5/8 in diameter and 1/4 tall. It has 4 slots in the side (to use for tightening). The threads are inside. It sits under the knob and would be polished or chrome plated.
