Good morning,

Just curious if I can use a thrift air heater core in my deluxe heater box.? If not, can some one please explain why? Thank you!

From what I recall they are different sizes.
Assuming you got it to stay in place, if it does not fit right you will have air passing through and around the heater core so you won't get the hot air you want in the cab.

I tried to use a repro on my 61. It would have been way to much work to make fit. I ended up having the original core rebuilt. Works great.


1961 Long Stepside Apache 10, original 235, 4 speed and 3:90 posi totally stock (owned 12 years)
1966 Chevelle (owned 53 years)
