Number on engine is the same as on the title dating back to 1974. I understand the engine # was used on title in some states. How do I find the casting #, or engine #for 1937?

Post your codes here and people will help you figure out what you have. | | | | Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 28 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 28 | Thanks for the info. I kept searching until I found out what I needed. Found out I had a 55 235cid. | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,189 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,189 | If you have a 1955 engine and the title matched the engine, you should confirm the title has the correct year. Also, don't get rid of that engine as that's the only link to your title. Call you local DMV to see what you need to do if you want to swap engines.
