Will UPS still accept them, despite being slightly over the size limit?
Any other method than expensive freight companies?
Any tip or link is greatly appreciated.

back east from California. You have to take them to the depot. They take three days to go back east. Once they load them in LA, it is non-stop.
100 pounds limit, they will take 72" long. Wrap in cardboard. About the same as UPS. You need a city
name (bus station), not just a zip code for quote.

I got the fenders and even the cardboard wrapping had not one scratch or scuff mark as OOPS or Fedex packages have.
I deal with close to 200 shipments (small and very large) per year through my business with these companies, but Greyhound beats them in handling and package care.
Don't know how it would turn out with the real heavy 100+ lbs. stuff, though.
I looked at all the other packages in their depot and they all looked prestine.
