Plan 6 bt swap need better front end or frame | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 | It depends what you're wanting. The track of the 94 will be pretty wide, so you'll end up with a stock or wider stance on the front of the 49. It can be done.
Do you have any specific questions? Your inquiry is a bit vague to give any useful information. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 67 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 67 | I'm currently struggling with keep original frame and figure out brakes. Or switch to a different frame. I'm building a truck with 6 bt cummins to pull 10 k of machinery for my work. So I want safe first then power and looks | | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 67 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 67 | The 5 in h wider track doesn't bother from what I've seen. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 67 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 67 | I think I've found my solution. I found a old motor home with an IFS under it. The frame on it is two inches wider. I think I might do a frame graft or graft frame in under existing frame | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 1,596 | If you want to pull 10K of machinery and that is your main goal, I suggest you use a complete frame from something that is factory designed to carry that kind of wait. Just less variables that way. | | |
