Question on that cover? When did Chevrolet have a chrome valve
cover? That part number is for a 54-62 Pass. (6 cyl.) 3758661.

I would bet it was chromed at a later date.

When I first brought Old Blue home, I don't know why, I bought
one of those chrome reproduction VC's from JC or Chevy Duty.
It's still on the shelf, just couldn't bring myself to
replace that original tin lid. Besides, the yellow 'Thrift-Master'
logo shows up better on that pretty charcoal gray background
than it would on the chrome.
Deve, you better make that a weeks vacation at Brads Archive.
Every time I end up over at his place it take me a few hours
to get out of there. Mr. Allen....is the most hospitable host
I've ever run into. If you don't take a break on your site
it's gonna be as seductive as his is.
And lets not forget The two Tim's. The web sites of Tim
Lederman and Tim Sheridan can keep you busy the rest of the
month. Always try to squeeze in a couple of hours for
Pre-Dave also.

Do a search on PCV system for a 235, been discussed numerous times. You can then leave the valve cover as it is.

My philosophy has changed just a little over the years. If I can "keep it stock" by not altering original parts in any way, so it can be put back to stock by the next guy, then I am happy. That opens the door to my HEI system, PCV, Spin-On Oil Filter system, etc. Don't like them, put it back the way it was. That will never change. PCV is what I would do. Hang the Road Draft Tube on the wall and drop in the valve. To Each His Own has never been more true! Thanks Denny! Anyone ever tried to get a compliment out of Denny? You have to just do your thing and someday it will happen! I could never have started any of this without the other guys you mentioned and The Stovebolt. They are the Heros in this endeavor. But....Sure they have Deve....I'v given out plenty of compliments.
You just have to earn it by convincing me you're not full of it.
Takes a while sometimes for me to sort out whether a member
is talking through his hat or really a straight talker. In my
life I've seen many members of clubs, groups, forums join with
the sole intention of turning it into a platform to advertise
their products. The nice thing about the Stovebolt forum is
it's purpose has always been to share information and expects
nothing in return but a little support if you feel you've
gotten anything out of it. For that we can thank our hosts
and their helpers. See there...that's a compliment!
