Thanks for the time.

Follow the standard bleeding procedure (assuming you are referring to a 1/2-1 ton 1954 truck with standard/original-style brakes).
Run a lot of new/clean standard brake fluid through each wheel cylinder (starting at the wheel cylinder furthest away from the master cylinder).
LR - RR - LF - RF
Go through the wheel-cylinder cycle twice - it will not hurt anything. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 49 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 49 |

Another option is to use a pressure bleeder made out of a cheap hand pump pesticide sprayer. You can Google pressure bleeder and see several to get an idea on how to make one yourself real cheap. I drilled and tapped a spare master cylinder cap to accept a threaded nipple for the plastic tubing. You will need to plug the two vent holes in the side of original cap. I welded them shut. Carl

Or, have you looked at 1954 brake adjustment description that is on-line? You might want to read about brake adjustment and then post any questions that you have. Be sure to describe your truck: 1954 Chevrolet 3/4 ton with stock-style brakes? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 49 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 49 | Thanks a lot Tim. I'll be sure to be more clear going forward.
