Picked up a fuse box at salvage yard from 1989 Chevrolet p/u to upgrade 1961 Chevrolet C 10. Split into three parts, front with fuses, middle, and rear. The middle was easy to unpin the terminals. The front took a day to figure out how get the pins out without damage. The rear has a tar like weather seal. Is there a easy way to remove the tar like substance before removing wires? Thanks in advance as it seems like it would be less messy.
