I am not going to use my in cab gas tank for my hotrod and want to do something with the hole. I thought about fitting and welding in a patch but thought maybe someone else had a novel idea on what to do. Any ideas on options other than welding it closed? Dave

Keep the cap and put a longer hose on it going to a small container. Cut a slot in the cap and use it for a piggy bank. Put a sign/sticker by it saying help fund my restoration.
That way when people are checkin out your ride they can show their appreciation.
Make it large enough for bills, maybe $10's and $20's preferred?

There's a guy around here that just removed the cap and stuffed a red shop rag in it with the tag end hanging out. Made me laugh!
