on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 227 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 227 | Hi everyone... My c30 1-ton has stock 19.5" single rims. I have 2 rims that sets the tire further out inside the fender and 2 rims that set the tire further in inside the fender. I was told 1 set came from a Chevy and the other set came from a GMC. Does anyone know this to be true and if so, which inset (set-back) is Chevy or GMC? Here is a shot of the truck: http://s761.photobucket.com/user/cl...0Truck/IMG_3333.jpg.html?sort=6&o=13Any information would be greatly appreciated... Thanks.. Russ

Both versions were made by Kelsey Hayes.
I have the stepped cone version on my '57 3600.
Once again hearsay, but I've been told the switch from old to new happened when Chevy changed from AD models to TF models midway through 1955.

Matt... I have noticed that old vehicles had the wheel further in thus more of the body hung over the wheels and later they moved the wheels further out for better handling, so your information makes sense.
