Hello,
I picked up a used runningboard for my 45 1/2 ton. My existing
runningboards has a row of holes (3/16") on the very top flange
running almost the full length. What are those for? 'Cause the
runningboard that I picked up yesterday doesn't have them. Thanks, john.

John nice to hear of other trucks in our area. I have a couple sets of art deco running boards and none have that many holes running along the top rail. They do have 5 -7 or so along the front edge that mont to the front fender for support and the others are on the bottom for the bracket.

I think the holes you are talking about are for a seal that goes between running board and cab (rocker panel)
