OK all you old metal bumpers, These repops have been out long enough now that there should be some feedback coming from the guys that know quality parts.
How do these new fenders (& doors) stand up to the originals. Should I repair the rust in the lower corners of the good old American steel or go with the offshore stuff?

I used the 58/59 front fenders on my 59 GMC and I am very happy with the results.

I was paying a body man and he was very happy with the quality of the fenders and the fit and finish as well. They came complete with emblem holes for a Chevrolet, which I of course had to have filled and redrilled for a GMC, and also come with an antenea hole. The only complaint from my body man was the fit around the headlight bezels.

They seem to be coming down in price. Check out eBay this week there is a pair on auction for $299 each with a buy it now of $310.

Any other opinions before I decide on these repops?

4d9r - if the only bad parts on your fenders are the back bottom, it's not too hard a fix - won't necessarily be cheaper, but the fit'll be right - I've heard nothin but good reports on the repro's, but no personal experience except doin the patches
