For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 15 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 15 | Short version: I can't find the answer to this through a search; most other questions I've come up with have been found in old forum posts. I want to put H6024 headlights on, running 14G wire from the relays to the lights. The only specific pigtails I've seen for H6024 have 16G wire in them. The design of H4 plugs appears to be similar, and there are lots of sockets available for them. Do they interchange? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-H4-Fe...15206746?hash=item2a491c215a&vxp=mtrI not, what crimp connectors do I need? I can do it myself, if need be. Thanks for any help or links you can give. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | any socket that mates with the bulb pins [standard 3 pin] will work .... any socket can have the wires changed .... and anything you need should be available at a local auto parts, like NAPA

The OEM wires are so small, and of course are a little on the brittle side after 59 years. I just want to make sure I can get the wiring up to date and safe before I get anything else going. | | |
