For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 142 | The lower gen. bracket(the one the motor mount bolt goes thru) does not reach to the rear of the gen. It was that way when i got the truck. Shouldnt the bracket fit between the Tabs(?) on the gen? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 | You've neglected to tell us what make, what year, what engine or what modifications you've made to you vehicle. Here is the generator and bracket on a stock 1950, 216 Chevy truck: http://www.pbase.com/dennygraham/image/149240763dg

Also, a '1956 235' helps the description; but that would be assuming nothing had ever been done to it modification-wise.
Is the generator secured? Bolted down at two points on the base (front/rear)? You can use a stack of washers as spacers on a long bolt to secure that tab at the rear of the generator.
