I need a paint code for Bombay Ivory. I prefer a code for PPG, Dupont or Valspar paint, as my local paint shop doesn't have it in their books. This is for my 60 apache, but should be the same for 55-60. Thanks.

don't know how close this is to "actual", but using some good original paint chips and color matching I came up w/ DUPONT # B8173 which is 'pearl white' from [gasp] chrysler k. other color I used was sub for 'cardinal red' DUPONT # 5291 which is a later vette 'mille miglia red'

I think these codes for Dupont are correct (these codes are for '55-'57 and they should be the same until '59 - most likely the same in '60):

DUCO: 246-72961
DULUX: 93-72961

I do not have PPG/Ditzler codes but you might want to to try to find the phone number for their paint library. If you find the phone number, would you please post it here? They have a great library and helpful people (it might even be on-line now, but I cannot find it). I called them 6 years ago and they were quite helpful - I lost the phone number.

The original PPG code for 55-58 Bombay Ivory was 80753, I do not have a current code, but maybe that will help in your search.
