Hello, I was wondering what the original color of the Angle strips were in a '50 3100? Black or the color of the Truck?

They were black for my '51 GMC and for years
prior. I'm sure they are the same for the
chevys. I'll look for your truck at the local
shows. You live pretty close. Cecil....

In my research, they were the color of the truck. Which is logical, because since they were welded on, the welds would have been done before painting. So the bedsides would have been painted with the angles in place. I cannot believe the factory would have gone to the trouble of masking and painting the angles black. And the completely original trucks I have seen have body color angles.
