Howdy All --- The inner fenders on my '46 1-1/2 ton were a little beat up so I picked up what looked like a pretty good pair on Ebay.
However...once I got them, I realized they are not the same. I have always been told they were all exactly alike, but either these are some mutation...or they were not correctly represented.
In the attached pix, you can see the differences. The first pic is the "primered" one that is the replacement I bought and the second "dirty" one is my original.
The Ebay version has several differences.
1. The profile at the upper front is a little different.
2. There is no hole where the rear fender bolt goes through.
3. The"X" pattern is stamped in differently.
4. The front lower portion has extra metal that appears to fit over the frame.
5. This one does not have the 90* flange along the bottom that rests on top of the frame.
Does anyone recognize this as some other year...or...were there such variations during the War Years?
