Hello to anyone with 1959 truck day/night mirror.

What did the correct inside day/night mirror look like
for Chevrolet trucks in 1959? Most supplier's catalogs show the variety from 1947-1956 with a ribbed back. In
1959 GM's Motorama display shows a different mirror,
but it was not a close up view.
I'm asking anyone who may have knowledge on this
subject to respond.

don't know that there was a "correct" day/nite for the truck, likely a car accessory .... it isn't shown on the list for the Task Force years, and doesn't appear on the dealer accessory display .... might check the various accessories catalogs at Keiths site here

Thanks for your kind reply. The link you gave for the dealer
accessory display is the one I was quoting from the GM Motorama
display. If you look on the left hand side of the link picture you gave to me you will see the mirror attached to the factory accessory bracket for trucks. There is only one such bracket that I know of, and surely this is the factory supplied mirror for 1959. Any comments appreciated.

hadn't considered that was a day/nite mirror, but it is the mirror head shape and support arm of the 55.2-59 mirror - and no 'ribs' on the back of the standard mirror - bracket, repro regular mirror [47-59], repro day nite [54-59], which is not the shape of the one in the display

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to check my Chevrolet parts book
to determine part numbers if possible. I'm thinking the day/nite
mirror changed sometime in 1957 for trucks and maybe cars also.
Any thoughts will be appreciated.
