Will a fuel pump off a '46 235 fit on a '53? I know the gasket to the block is the same and the plumbing is the same, but is there an internal difference that would keep it from working? The pump on my '53 replacement engine just let loose (fuel spraying out) and I have a good pump on my '46 block that could get me out of trouble if it will fit.
Thanks

I took the pump off the '46 and it is a direct replacement. The '53 had the glass bowl on top and the '46 doesn't. It seems to be the only difference.
