I could use a little advice from the experts. I'm making some upgrades to the driveline of my '52 3100. I'm installing a T5 tranny along with a posi rearend from a '71 Nova. I've replaced the front hubs with some from a 51 Chevy car so I have a 5 x 4.75 lug pattern on front and back. I want the truck to sit with a little lower look than stock. Any suggestions on wheel and tire size combinations that I might check out? I've found a good deal on a set of old school Cragar's that are 15 x 6 but don't know if they would be too narrow. Any suggestions?

Other things that need to be considered is the final drive ratio in the rear end, as well as what you want the final ride height to be. Tire load ratings also need to be considered, the shorter the sidewall, the less load the tire can safely handle.
With the information presented so far, though, a 215/75/15, or perhaps a 225/70/15 would be pretty good on the wheels you mention. If you bump up to a 7" wheel, a 235/70/15, or if you want it a little lower, a 235/65/15 would be good.

A little more info- My RE ratio is 2:73 and I don't ever plan to carry anything more than a cooler and a couple of lawn chairs in the back  I'm not completely sold on the 15 x 6 or a 15" in general. I'm looking for a smooth ride and something that sits lower than stock but not as low as a dropped look. I know, I'm not asking for much Does that open the possibilities up or introduce more confusion?
