Sorry guys, likely beat to deat and I just read the recent post and someone mentioned a Lokar piece which won`t work. I`m wanting to use my Stock gas pedal on my 1950 Chevy 1/2 shortbox. There must be a cable and bracket system almost like a half moon shape that works to pull the cable with original pedal through the floor. Anyone seen a website? Thanks,Darcy

I don't know if there is room in an AD but my 37 Buick has the bell crank right where the rod from the pedal goes through the floor rather than on the side of the block like an AD. I left the pedal assembly stock and just replaced the rod from the bell crank to the carb with a cable. Been working for 30+ years. If you see an old Buick at a show or meet take a look and see if the set up would work since the straight 8 Buick engine looks exactly like a 235 Chevy only longer.

I had the same issue ...& the overpriced lokar stuff also looked really out of place.

I used the interior linkage off the pedal from a 65 Impala, then connected a Lokar cable to have a pull throttle. Had to attach a bracket to the engine and also had to weld some tabs onto the linkage to properly (the correct angle) through bolt it to the firewall from the inside. Still have to do some cosmetics on the opening. Similar interior linkage is available from sites selling early Camaro repop stuff.

You can see some of it in this pic Gas Pedal
