I bought some 16" rims from a newer model Chevy to put on. I did a test fit last night, but I'm not sure that they are fitting correctly. Either I need some longer studs or the center hole is interfering with the fitment. Hard to tell with only the single garage light on and a 16 year old who couldn't quite make it work while I held up the axle. What's the latest year stock Chevy truck wheels you are using?

Anyway, most 6 lug chevy wheels will fit, especially older ones. Don't buy wheels until you try them. 55-87 should fit and lots of others. Not sure about 16", just know about 15". I believe a 3.5" center hole is what you need.

For now, I'll have 8 lug in front and 6 lug in the rear. Found out that these were off of a newer model and don't fit because of the center hole. Live and learn I suppose. The good news is that I'm out $100 for now and can sell these off for that much at least so I'm not out anything in the long run. Now, convincing the wife of that fact may prove my undoing, but as you can tell already, I like living dangerously!

Anything 6 lug '88 and up, and 8 lug '99 and up (2WD), and 8 lug 4x4 '88 and up will have the wrong backspace/offset for the older trucks.

That'll be awhile before I swap out those though. Thinkin that if I can't find any in the next week or so, I'm going to go here for a couple of temps for the 6 lugs. | | |
