I have a 4400 with a gmc 270. I drove it home so it works but it was a hack job. If GMC is so much like a Chevy, why couldn't one upgrade with same radiator brackets, etc. for an elegant conversion. Any tips now I have it all broken down to the frame.

A GMC motor is about 1 1/2" longer than Chevrolet and the front crossmember and entire radiator surround are different. They can be retrofitted professionally or you can do a hack job.

The GMC radiator mounts to the front of the radiator shroud. If yours is mounted to the back, it is a converted Chevy.
