I just had mine relined- 47 1.5 ton. The old ones were good but contaminated with oil or fluid. They were uneven side to side, one side lacked power. They were asbestos originals.
Getting them relined was NZD$284- about US$180. I got the drums machined and then they radius the new shoes to match the drums. Straight off they are better and they have yet to wear in.
I talked to the guy and he said that the modern liner is just a generic replacement for asbestos or old shoes, and has a similar friction coefficient. Said it was the same or easier on the drums.
Sorry I do not know where to get parts and I did not notice any part number on my shoes.

No problem I appreciated the information. These old trucks are getting harder and harder to find certain parts for I have to make a trip to my uncles junkyard which not much is there anymore and raid what I can so I have spares. Mostly suspension and brake parts

Parts support is not very good for the larger trucks. I would suggest that you take your good core shoes to a local clutch and brake shop to have them relined. I had high friction lining material riveted to my shoes and am very happy with the results. I believe all 8 shoes cost approximately $200.
