My question is, how do you remove the column shifter handle from the column? It looks like it's held on by a rivet to a "rod/shaft"...I don't know how to remove the rivet , if that's what it is, and if I did get it off, do I then have to find a new rivet somewhere?
It's a 1951 3100 three on the tree.

Push them inward at the same time and pull the shifter handle off.
