What is everyone using for a gas cap? model or manf. Tank inside cab. don't want locking. 53 3100 root

I just whent to my local O'Reilly auto parts and asked for a gas cap for a '50-'53 Chevy and they pulled one off the shelf. It looks just like the beat up rusty one that came on my truck when I got it (with out the rust etc.).

I bought the stainless steel non locking version,it shined up a treat,the downside is the rubber gasket is showing signs of deterioration already. (18 months approx).
If memory serves me correctly I got it from LMC but as far as I know they're pretty much all the same regardless of where they come from.

I realise it's a vented cap but there's quite a strong smell of gas when you're outside the truck on the passenger side,especially on warmer days...it doesn't leak,but then i've never filled the gas tank that full.....
