I'm trying to match the rear cargo mat for a 1959 gmc suburban carryall and not having any luck. I noticed that the mat in a late fifties Nomad has the same pattern. I located a distributor for the Nomad mat but he only sells it in 50" by 50"
pieces which is too small for me. When I asked him for the name of his supplier so I could try to get a bigger piece he would not give it to me. Would anyone know who supplies the mats used in the Nomads?

John . . . the guy with the "source" is being short sighted and can only see as far as himself making a few bucks on something he knows and doesn't want anybody else to know. People who make a living by acting that way are never happy - will probably die a bitter old man some day.

Find out what he sells the Nomad peice for and offer him 30%-40% more than that value and ask him to get you a piece big enough for your burb. If he won't go for that he is obviously looking out only for himself only. I wouldn't patronize someone like that - keep looking, things like that have a way of turning up when you least expect it. I have a lead on 47..55 suburban rear mat now that I stumbled into - I'll check it out and report back in a week or so. Good luck!

I have a source for the '47-55 1st Burb cargo mat. An old guy is extruding these in the original color { mocha brown }. I dont know if he is set up for the 55-59 trucks but, if he can do one I dont see why he cant do the other. We would need to drum up a few people that need these before I could approach this guy.

In '54 (Chevy Suburban) the rear mat changed to black (colors of other interior items also changed that year). Can your source make black?

Does your source provide rubber or linoleum? The material in my Suburban is much more like linoleum (but rubber would be fine).

As I posted here a while ago, there is a source of proper thickness brown linoleum but the proper thickness black linoleum is no longer imported. The linoleum then needs to be routed to match the appearance of the original.
