I have a 1948 chevy half ton with the gas tank mounted on the passenger side frame rail. Is there any modern tanks that can be mounted in this location. My ofiginal tank is ok but has gas that has been in the tank for over 15 years and the metal feels thin. I would prefer a different tank.

LMC Trucks shows a side rail tank, but they are not cheap.
If original look is not a issue then you can cut price in half with universal fit but it will need some adapting.
