Is it just pressed in there or what do I need to do? picThanks, Jonny

try soaking it in penetrating oil to free it | | | | | Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 614 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 614 | Jonny, the nut is part of the thermostat assembly. I just replaced mine, so it's still fresh in my mind. The nut is the easy part! Getting the actual gauge out is a pain in the a--. Why do you want to remove the nut? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,275 Renaissance Man | | Renaissance Man Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 10,275 | I am with DADS50 on this one. The adapter bushing is stuck to the sensor probe. I am guessing that you pulled this 47-52 sensor from a 54 to 62 235. Soak it and push it out. Don't pull on the tubing. Carl

The lower "nut" in question is indeed the adapter bushing. (I will delete my earlier post). Soak and try to loosen the adapter. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 614 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 614 | Tim, that makes two of us! I just went back for another look and seen the factory nut up higher. Good advise. I guess that's why 'they' say a picture is worth a thousand words.
