Hello, I have a Da Kine, bone stock, 2nd owner, 116,000 mile all original and in near museum quality '51 Suburban Carryall but the hood and fenders are showing a light surface rust, polishing removes it but it also removes some paint down to the original primer, still looks cool, "patina" they call it, but what can I do to prevent further rust and paint removal? I've heard of clear coating the entire truck, and someone else suggest's using transmission fluid instead of wax on those portions to prevent rust, apparently they use it on those bare metal hotrods and customs so they won't rust between show's. Man, anyone got any experience with paint PRESERVATION? Aloha and many mahalo's
