Have a 66 3/4 ton fleetside and noticed the cab and bed don't line up on the drivers side. I need some input as to how to resolve this. I think it needs some new cab pads so if that is the case, anybody familiar with changing them out and did it solve your problem. I don't seem to have a rust
out problem so that is not it.
I checked with Chevy Duty for a cab mount kit and they sell a 1/2 ton kit only. I asked the
"tech" if they would work on a 3/4 ton truck and he didn't seem to think so. I have a tendency to believe the only difference would be the extra weight the 3/4 ton would haul and the 1/2 ton kit should still do the job.

I don't know the facts but I can't imagine the cab mounts would be different from 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton, I just can not see that at all. The FRAME mounts that hold the cab up, "MaY" be different, but the rubber mounts should be the same.

It is very common for the cab and bed to not match. If you need cab mounts, to it. Don't "expect" it to fix everything, just do it, because it needs them.

After you have installed the new mounts, than you can shim the bed or cab to make them fit perfect.

Found out the 3/4 ton mounts are different. Check link. If it doesn't work you can find the link on
the chevy talk board. http://www.chevytalk.org/threads/sh...amp;Old=allposts&Main=470387&Sea rch=true#Post476433
