Hit one I couldn't avoide in my 59 and it broke the passenger front shock mount on the frame. Does anyone make them? Figure the drivers side needs replaced as well since its only a matter of time. Thanks for any help you can offer. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 | I'm not familiar with the '59 but my old '84 Silverado had a frame made from bubble gum wrappers. I kept blowing out upper shock mounts. The local weld shop had huge flat washers about 4" across & 3/16" thick that they'd weld to the frame and run the upper shock mounting bolt through that. That may or may not apply in your case but it's worth mentioning.
