Have 1961 235. I want to install the Trans Dapt 1028 oil filter bracket. Anyone know where I can get oil lines that connect direct between the block and 1028 without fittings to adapt? The Trans Dapt oil line kit is half inch at both ends, but the block is smaller. Would like to avoid adaptor fittings. Anyone custom make oil lines for this applocation? Also, do I need a specific size oil line to maintain pressure? Thanks.

That's a pretty big jump in size, you're probably not going to be able to avoid having to use adapters. Even the stock lines used adapters, from pipe thread to inverted flare, in the block end. You might check with either Napa or perhaps a farm store like Tractor Supply that makes hydraulic hoses, see if they can make a custom hose for you, but most likely, you're going to end up with some adapters in the system. The stock hosed were 1/4", and you'll need to have a 1/16" restrictor somewhere in the system to keep the pressure and flow rate correct.

Thanks for the reply. Since I posted I found http://www.russellperformance.com. Maybe they can help. Would the 1/16" restriction go on the filter inlet?

This subject is covered in detail here:

http://devestechnet.com/Home/Project1959235 or
http://devestechnet.com/Home/FullFlowOil halfway down.

I have included part numbers to make your own lines for this very purpose. Hope this helps! Remember what Bill said.. you need a 1/16 restrictor somewhere in your lines unless you did the full flow modification.
