im going to be ordering new door seals and new front/rear windshield seals for my 53 pickup.
brothers, LMC, jim carter, classic trucks, etc, etc. etc.
anybody have a firm reason to buy a seal/rubber from one vender in particular?

However, I can't say you'd get the same results in todays world? | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,321 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,321 |

Had professionals install the glass so it wouldn't leak. Well, it leaks! Rockford Glass says the stand behind their work and will come back out to repair. Point is, on the old trucks there is no guarantee that you will not have a leak regardless of who or what seal you use. The old trucks were marginal at best on tolerances and proper fitment. If you throw enough 3M sealant at it eventually it will not leak! Good luck on that. I used Classic Parts door seals and they were fine. A little tight for the first week but worked themselves in. Take your time on the installation. Doors off is a must to do a proper job. Be clean and neat and you will get good results. There is a good video on u-tube on the process.
