I typically have a lot of projects around my shop that would make buying sandblasting equipment a worth while investment...my only concern is the safety of it. What blasting media does NOT contain "silica" or any material that can cause lung problems...in other words what material is safe where i don't need to worry about wearing OSHA approved equipment to be safe. I plan on using real media material and I'm not going to mess around with "play sand" either

Google silica free blasting media.

Unless you use pure sand its not an issue with reasonable ppe (a good p100 filter mask is about it)

I like 30-60 copper slag. Fairly inexpensive (in the Copper State anyway) and pretty much dust free. Good luck with it.
