Are you talking about the cowl, forward of the door, between the windshield and the hood? Mirror holes?

Yes these holes are between door hinges on passenger side. Drivers side has the usual vin and weight tags.
I have a 1950 3100 Chevrolet 5 window.

Nice memory/search, LUKE

A Canadian truck might have holes on both sides - I think GM Canada provided trucks to Aussies/Holden - right hand drive.

Yes my 1950 216 3100 5 window was built in Oshawa Ontario Canada Nov.7th.1950. with holes on both hinge pillars.
I recieved info from a stovebolt member who advised that many Canadian built trucks went to the large African and Australian right hand drive markets.
Mystery solved smile
