wanting to know the interchangeabilty of finders,grills, hoods, and doors, for 1947-1953, chevy to gmc. is the 1 to 2 ton cabs the same as 1/2 ton

The fenders, grill, and hood on a chevy are different compared to the gmc. They aren't compatible. Go to the gallery and take a look at some of the trucks in there and you will see what i mean. The doors will work however. But during 47-55, there were minor changes. 47-50 use turn handle, no side window vent, 51 has turn handle no vent, 52-55 have push button handle and side vents. Hope this helps you out.

as for the cabs, i asked the same question, the answer was that are interchangable. Make sure it isn't a COE however. ( Cab Over Engine-a stubnose)

hood and grill are different, but front fenders are the same except for the parking light holes in the GMCs - a GMC fender and a welder with a small disk of metal will make a chevy fender.

All of the nose clip parts are common from 1/2 ton to 1 ton and then they get bigger at 1-1/2 ton on up. Cabs are the same from 1/2 ton to 2-1/2 ton.
