For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,123 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,123 | Recently removed the door glass and found year correct date codes, the good news. The bad news is near the bottom they are cracked, parallel to the bottom and about 3/8ths to 1/2 an inch for about a 4 inch or so length. I'd like to reuse these just because of the date codes. They are also slightly green tinted.
I'd like to know if these will likely show when the windows are fully closed. My goal is to try and keep as many parts this truck was born with as possible.
Any thoughts, ideas, and especially facts appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 888 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 888 | Lee, I looked at drivers door over the weekend. With the window up, new track in door, new whiskers/wipes I had between a 1/2" to 3/4" from the window track top to the exterior outside top of the door. I took a couple of pictures but can't get them to load on my Photobucket for some reason. I'll try again or PM me with your email and I'll send. Hope this helps. If not, I can always change the glass. | | |
