If you are using cheap China or India housings toss them and go with a good Hella, Bosch or Cibie housing. It is literally a night and day difference.
Are you using relays and are your grounds good? what kind of voltage drop are you getting at the headlight connector compared to the battery voltage?

All my connections are new, but I will double check. Admittedly, electronics are my weak link. carolines truck, Wow! OK. That wiring is WAY over my head I think. With help and much plodding and patience maybe I could accomplish what you have done with your wiring. In the meantime I am taking Toolbox's advice. Thanks to you both for this info. cletis, I do have an eye exam coming up. At 75 years, who knows what the doc will find.

My Retinal Specialist told me everyone will get Cataracts if they live long enough. At 75 I'm surprised they haven't found Cataracts already. They do mess with how you process light.

So there are a lot of us walking around with some cataracts in the process of forming. Since it happens slowly, we adapt and we may not know we have a problem.
