The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop inner fender to firewall?

On the drivers side there is a bracket that attaches the inner fender to the firewall.
Is there one on the passenger side also?

If you are referin to the what I think you are the answer is yes. There should be 2 one on each side that angle out to the fenders from the firewall.

On my 49 there was only a bracket on the driver's side. It is there to mount the emergency brake pedal shaft and the inner fender bolts through it. On the passenger side the inner fender bolts directly to captured nuts in the toe board. Somebody else will ring in if this is not correct.

Anyone with an assembly manual please help?

No book, but had the same question on my 52. The bracket is only on driver's side as rwise said.

Yes, that is the way they are, the bracket is only on the driver's side. I think the previous comment to the contrary may have been referring to the little filler pieces that go on top between the inner fender and the cowl. I have only seen a few trucks with those in place and they are there to block spray from going down in, I think.

And the assembly manual confirms what everybody is saying...
