on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 61 Member | | Member Joined: May 2001 Posts: 61 | I am reassembling the hood on my shortbed Chevy 1950 pickup. I bought new hood bolts from Chevy Duty. When trying to attach the hood to the hood hinges I could not get the bolts to thread into the hood support. It seems that the thread size is incorrect either on the bolts (too wide) ot the hood hinge (too small). I recently had the hood painted on the underside. Are the hood hinge threads built with a close tolerance making it difficult to threat the hood bolts? Perhaps Chevy Duty's bolts are the wrong thread size? (they are very close)
Suggestions?
