She had a disagreement with a light pole Friday and crunched a fender. I got a fender at the local pic and pull. Do I need to put primer over the old paint? I am going to sand it w/320 grit. It doesn't need much else. The paint store said to primer, and that's ok, but they can't tell me why. The sealing primer seals the contminates that were in the old paint to keep them from coming through to the new.
