Item #12063 Brand: Eastwood . The application is for later model cars and trucks. Is there a difference in the pivot point length or something else that would prevent me placing this unit on a '60 261?
Thanks,
Cosmo

I think the one I got has a 3/8" pulley and uses the standard bracket that is available from Classic and others. The Delco original one wire is a 40 amp. The one I just got from Summit for my 235 project is an 80. The prices and everything I paid is in the Project59235 writeup. http://devestechnet.com/Home/Project1959235 in the Detailed Parts List section. Forgive me, but I just dont like Eastwood. They can be $200 more expensive on items, then on the other hand, they can be cheaper but for some reason. It may be okay though. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,742 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,742 | Unless you've got a 13 gazillion watt sound system or a set of "Chebby Low Rider" hydraulics instead of springs, a 100 amp alternator is overkill. 50-65 amps is twice the capacity or more of the original-equipment generators. The 10-SI shouldn't pose any serious mounting problems. Jerry

Using the single wire setup is great. The only reason I went with a 120 amp Chrome alternator with the single wire and 3/8 pulley I was charging two batteries on my Good Humor truck. Pulling a 120 volt setup on the inverter. With lights and the 120 volt fan in the freezer and charging the cold plates while driving maintains the full charge. I purchase my chrome alternator on Ebay for $69.00 plus $10.00 shipping, life time warranty. This setup works great on the 235, I measured the distance on the pulley for the gates fan belt and got it from carquest. I do like the chrome on the alternator. It gives alittle bling to the engine area. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-CHROME-1...70868932?hash=item51b77e74c4&vxp=mtr ______________________________________________ Steve | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 1,419 ODSS President | | ODSS President Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 1,419 | Unless you've got a 13 gazillion watt sound system or a set of "Chebby Low Rider" hydraulics instead of springs, a 100 amp alternator is overkill. 50-65 amps is twice the capacity or more of the original-equipment generators.
