old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 667 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 667 | Has anyone here had any luck finding aftermarket replacements for these? I've seen a few on Ebay but they appeared to be bent & rusted trash.
Found them in high dollar stainless for '37-'38 trucks but they don't know whether they will fit war years trucks or not. Nothing else I have found online so far. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,321 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 1,321 | Is this what you are asking about? Support Rod Harold

The threaded ends are mangled and rusted away. I've seen a few on Ebay but most were in similar condition and was hoping beyond hope that someone was making new repros. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,228 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,228 | That brace would be easy to reproduce yourself if you have the old one for a pattern. You could cut the threaded ends off and weld new threads on fairly easy. The flat center would be the toughest to duplicate but if you have that much weld some new rods on and thread them. | | |
