Back in April I ordered wiper motor and arm from LMC. They did not have the arms after weeks of waiting I finally found the arms at Dreamers (rods and pickups). Finally months later I get around to the install. I unpack everything and find that the arms where they attach to the motor has like a octagon shape grommet and the motor has a plastic grommet (round) on each short shaft where the arms attach?? If I remove the grommets from the shaft the octagon shape will go over and fit on the shaft.then the transmission retainer clip and gasket will fit back on. question ? do I have the wrong wiper arms?? does the grommet supposed to be removed from the shaft?? Anyone experience this? of course LMC has no tech. advise and dreamers are looking into it and is going to call me back.

Dreamers is a great place, it is just down the street from my house, they actually build cars in their shop. So they really do know what they are talking about. Not to mention they are some of the nicest people you would ever meet. But they have the same problems we do with the repro parts.

I replaced the arms and wipers on my truck with a set I bought from a marine supply store. They also fit on an MGB.

If its the parts in the link above you won't need them with an electric wiper motor

So, what was their solution to the arms fitting on the motor?
