I am in the process of putting a 1960 chev apache shortbox stepside body on a 1984 gmc 1/2 longbox chassis . So far I have shortened the wheelbase and modifyed the frame near the back of the cab to get rid of the up hill jaunt in the '84 frame.. so far its going well.. the front end fits perfect.. if your interested in any pictures please pst a response and I will post some.. I am using many parts from the 84 like the column brake booster/master/swing pedal assy, emergency brake. I have already fit most of those parts..
