I swore I wouldn't do the dual MC upgrade until the fall, but I've changed my mind and am going to go ahead and start ordering parts. Where did you all buy the mount from?

I've found two so far:

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1955-59-Chevy-Pickup-Master-Cylinder-Adapter,34153.html

Mine would go on a 55.2. Went down to my FLAPS yesterday and looked at a dual MC from a '75 monte carlo (drum/drum) and the things is huge, bigger than my current single MC. I assume it's a tight fit? My 55.2 is drum/drum.

I've got Cletis' article already printed out, just want to make sure I order the right parts the first time.

I'm pretty sure a 75 m/c would have had disk brakes on the front. most GM cars were disc/drum by then. Look for something 67-69 1/2tn pickup drum/drum or 68/72 nova/ camaro drum/drum.

I plan on doing the dual pot MC upgrade on my 59. I want to maintain some originality keeping drums and the original location. This may be the same mc used in 67-? trucks.

The reason I post new links is because both are from the same place and the MC lists the bracket as a helper. That way you know for sure it fits.

EDIT:

One more note, I have read that these MCs need to be bench blead before install. I think they come as part of the MC kit.

All master cylinders need to be bench bled before installation.
